Well.... it's ON!

The Grey Cup was a nice warm-up for this weekend... let's hope we get a good game but most importantly that the Hawks are victorious... I hope you are all making some headway in getting your Purple and Gold garb together. I picked up some purple hair spray this morning and am contemplating the rest of the outfit... I can guarantee it will be "special". Anyway... time for some details... if you see any glaring omissions, let me know.

LIMO Group:

Departure time Friday AM from my house in CP is 9:50 so please arrive for 9:45 AM SHARP!

• The Limo is planning to depart at 9:50 so do not be late... If you are coming from out of town I have included directions below or click here Driving Directions .
• We will have some form of snacks (pepperettes, curds, pickled eggs) and will have pints but if you want anything different pls. bring your own
• If you haven't mailed me your money, don't... bring it with you. I need to pay the driver all the cash on Friday morning before we leave.
• if you plan on bringing a mickey to the game and or need hootch for the room, you might want to get it before Friday and bring it in your bag ... I am not sure if there is an LCBO close to the hotel
• if you have a tiny bladder bring a Gatorade bottle ; )

2. SAMPLE ITINERARY (subject to change depending on extraneous variables such as alcohol poisoning, jailing or being banned from Slainte after the first night)

FRIDAY December 2, 2005:

we will be staying at the one and only Ramada at 130 King (905-528-3451)...hoping to get there and check in between 4 and 5 PM at the latest

9:50 AM - Pimped up Hawkmobile leaves Cartoon Palace
11:00 AM crack open pints... this is the earliest allowable drinking time given limited availability of size XL Depends and washroom stops
2:00 PM Driver pays fine for passengers doing pressed hams to Senior Citizen tour bus
3:00 PM Kent duct tapes Murray the Limo driver, throws him in the trailer, and commandeers Limo for the rest of the weekend
4:00 -5:30 hopefully we will have arrived by now and check in?
5:30 -6:30 cocktails and get cleaned up (boozing in hotel room)
6:30 -9:00 find a bar/restaurant for dinner... likely Slainte @ 33 Bowen St. 905-528-8000
9:00 - ??? debauchery

GAME DAY - SATURDAY December 3, 2005:

8:00-9:00 awake, drag carcass out of bed, brush DuPont stainmaster off tongue
9:00 - 10:00 crack open nip kit and have Caesars, eat breakfast if so inclined
10:00-11:00 shower if so inclined, head to Slainte
11:00 arrive at Slainte and order tequila
11:02 choke down vomit, order a Caesar and ask for menu for lunch
11:02 - 1:15 party at Slante
1:15-1:30 hope a ride on Shuttlebus to Ivor Wynne if you want to crash the 1991 hawks tailgate party, if not, leave when you want
1:30- 2:45 party at Laurier tailgate party
3:00 PM kickoff
post game TBD!!!!

SUNDAY December 4, 2005:

??-9:50 AM whatever you want
10:00 AM Limo leaves with or without you

We had one Road Tour invitee bail out on us (political duties called for "The Mayor") so we have a spot open. If interested, let Kenny or Adam know.

It's gonna be good this year people - Kenny G has procured a supply of purple and gold hair spray colouring for all WLU fans. Get your Purple and Gold outfits ready to go!

Remember, Ivor Wynne Stadium will be selling beer in the stands...........

Well, only five more sleeps until the Vanier Tour. Watch for an itinerary to be sent out soon. We'll be meeting at Kenny G's place in Carleton Place to load up the SUV for the roadie to Hamilton. I wonder if the star of previous tours, Ms. C. McButtons will return for the 2005 cup? Here's hopin' so........

Vanier Cup 2005 Update

Things are gearing up for the 2005 Road Tour to the Vanier Cup. Recent news:

• This year Kenny has decided to pimp our ride with a 14-passenger luxury SUV. Organizers are confident that this time we will not break down in Crosby and we will make it all the way to Hamilton without any automotive trouble. Click here to see the Vanier-mobile.
• There will be a large WLU party in the parking lots. Tickets are reserved in the Laurier section of the stadium.
• Once again we will be staying in Hamilton’s finest fleabag hotel, convenient located near tattoo parlours and pawn shops: Ramada - Hamilton – Vanier special rate $84/night, through Commander Landers.
• A lot of classic Vanier Cup road tour photos are available on our website - some are still missing but I'm working on it!
• Amor is coming all the way from Trinidad for the event!

In other news, the 2007 Vanier Cup will be back at the SkyDump aka Rogers Centre – in conjunction with the Grey Cup. It’s gonna be big – we’re booking tickets early! Contact Kenny or Adam for more info.
