Vanier Cup Road Tour "Post Mortem"

The 2016 Vanier Cup will be dedicated to Mr. Loggia. On more happy and upbeat news, we had a great trip and I hope everybody had fun. It was great to have such an awesome group of guys and awesome to see the return of the CPHS gang ; Sharpy, Poor Little Rich, Van, Kinger and Sir Chad to the Vanier tour.

New Business:

·         BUS;    For those who took the bus the final invoice finally came in (an audited by the Vanier Executive) and it works out to $195/each. If you can either arrange to give me cash or send me an email transfer, that would be great. THX

HOUSEKEEPING -  I have a pair of mitts, a toque, and a Tupperware dish that had pasta salad in it. Let me know who owns them and I can get them to you.

·         ROOKIE OF THE YEAR ; Given his many performances, both with a guitar and without, this year’s Rookie of the Year is awarded to “Book Store Mike”…honorary mention is given to “the Dickster” Dickie. Dickie showed a lot of character and embraced the Spirit of The Vanier Pere Noels. He showed well at the game and on Friday evening. That said, Mike edged out Dickie for the following reasons; 1-His creative and artistic use of a pole at Cosmos and engagement of local patrons into his performance. 2- his entertainment with his humour and musical talents. 3 – he had more nicknames than anyone else after this trip.. in addition to “Bookstore Mike”, he also came to be known as “Rock ‘n Roll Mike” and of course “Magic Mike” after the Cosmos Spectacle. We congratulate both rookies on fine performances and hope to see you both next year.. I thought Ed was in the running for Rookie but I was reminded that he attended a Vanier in TO many moons ago. That said, Longest drive was won by Ed as he did the planes, trains and automobiles trek coming from St. Catherines. Hope he can come again next year wherever Vanier may be.
